The 1975 frontman Matty Healy has been hit with a cease and desist order over comments made on social media about rapper Azealia Banks.
Banks has shared a screenshot of the order, which alleges that Healy made posts under his “Truman Black” online pseudonym that “[attack] against [Banks’] professional reputation,” and include “over racial epithets” and “threats of psychical violence.”
Screenshots of the since-deleted posts show the Truman Black account calling Banks a “rat” and threatening to slap her over comments she made about Healy’s fiancée, Gabbriette.
The cease and desist demands a “prompt public apology” from Healy, as well as $1 million in damages.
