While it doesn’t look like Jane’s Addiction will be releasing any more new music anytime soon, three-fourths of the band are still working together.

In an Instagram post, bassist Eric Avery shares that he, guitarist Dave Navarro and drummer Stephen Perkins are prepping fresh material.

“Writing some more new lines to some of Stephens drumming,” Avery writes in the caption. “Look forward to getting some Mr Navarro on them. 2025!”

The lone man out, of course, is frontman Perry Farrell, who threw a punch at Navarro during a Jane’s concert in September, leading to the band announcing a hiatus. Navarro, Perkins and Avery also issued a statement saying that Farrell displayed a “continuing pattern of behavior” and was dealing with “mental health difficulties.” Farrell later apologized for his “inexcusable behavior.”

Before the onstage fight, Jane’s released a new song called “Imminent Redemption,” marking the band’s first fresh offering featuring all four members in 34 years. Another track, ironically titled “True Love,” surfaced days after the hiatus was announced.
