Following Radiohead’s comeback tour at the end of 2025, which included 20 shows in Europe, the band will be following a similar model going forward.
Guitarist Ed O’Brien tells Rolling Stone that future shows are “definitely happening,” adding, “What we’re going to do is, every year we’re going to do a different continent, and we’re going to do 20 shows each year.”
“No more, no less,” he says.
He notes said continental tour will be put into action beginning in 2027.
“We want to give absolutely everything each night,” O’Brien says. “We do not ever want it to be like we’re going through the motions or we’re having to run on empty. We’ve got to be able to do it. And you know what? We’re not spring chickens anymore.”
Radiohead’s 2025 shows marked their first live performances since 2018. When that last tour ended nearly eight years ago, O’Brien says he “was done with Radiohead” and “really thought that was it,” but the comeback tour renewed his enthusiasm for the band.
“That tour was very, very emotional, very profound,” O’Brien says. “We all felt that. We’d look at one another on that stage, like, ‘This is amazing.’ I feel like I’m the luckiest person on the planet, and I’m not just saying that.”
Meanwhile, O’Brien will release a new solo album, Blue Morpho, on May 22. The title track is out now.
