Beabadoobee has gigs lined up in 2025 supporting Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo. The “Beaches” artist certainly has experience opening for big pop stars, as she was on the bill for Taylor Swift‘s giant Eras Tour.
Reflecting on her Eras experience, beabadoobee tells ABC Audio that playing the tour was “so scary.”
“As comfortable as it was in terms of how much they took care of us, it was not comfortable onstage,” she laughs. “I was terrified every single night.”
Still, the Eras Tour taught beabadoobee an important lesson in perspective.
“Despite how terrifying it is, despite how many times you mess up in front of that many people, at the end of the day, you still wake up the next day and you’re alive and you’re fine and it doesn’t matter,” beabadoobee says.
“People forget,” she laughs. “Sometimes people don’t even notice.”
That’s a long way from where beabadoobee started on the Eras Tour, which was “feeling like I’m constantly about to s*** myself playing guitar in front of, like, all these people.”
“I’m like, ‘Oh my God, what am I gonna do?'” she says. “But you remember at the end of the day, it’s just a gig, and everything’s gonna be OK. And I think about that before I go onstage every night.”
Beabadoobee will open for Rodrigo in Dublin in June and for Carpenter in London in July. Her 2025 schedule also includes a set at Coachella in April.
