Bring Me the Horizon’s Oli Sykes and Courtney LaPlante of Spiritbox are set to collaborate on a new song called “If the Sun Burns Out Tonight.”
The track, which was recorded with producer and EDM artist Grabbitz, will be the anthem for the 2026 Valorant Champions Tour, an esports tournament focused on the video game Valorant.
“I’ve always been drawn to projects that blur the lines between storytelling and music,” Sykes says in a statement. “So working with [Valorant developer and publisher] Riot Games, alongside Grabbitz and Courtney, and becoming part of the Valorant World felt like a really natural fit.”
“I cannot wait to release this song!” LaPlante adds. “Oli has given me the opportunity to perform live with BMTH many times over the years, and we’re finally debuting something we worked on together. Grabbitz produced such a great atmosphere and a song tailored to all three of our voices, and Oli went in right away and made it a true collaboration.”
“If the Sun Burns Out Tonight” is set to premiere in the fall. You can check out a preview now via the Valorant YouTube channel.
Both Sykes and LaPlante have experience working with the video game world. Bring Me the Horizon recorded the song “Ludens” for the 2019 game Death Stranding, while LaPlante released the theme for the game 2XKO in 2025.
