Deryck Whibley shares reflection on final Sum 41 concert

Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley has shared a reflection on the band’s final show, which took place Jan. 30 in Toronto.

“It’s been a few days since the last show,” Whibley writes in an Instagram post. “There hasn’t been much time for me to even process, take in or reflect on the finality of it all.”

“It will probably take a little down time at home before I fully realize all my feelings and emotions,” he continues. “Or, maybe I just dive into something new very quickly. My name is Bizzy D for a reason!”

Whibley adds that he’s been spending time with his family in Toronto, writing, “In my immediate reflection, I am cherishing this time in the city and so is my family.”

“This whole final tour was incredible and filled with so much love, support and happiness,” he says. “But I can’t think of a better way to end it than in our home country, and more specifically, with Toronto being the last shows. Thank you everyone!”

Sum 41 launched their farewell tour in 2024 while supporting their final album, Heaven :x: Hell.
