Empire of the Sun releases deluxe ’Ask That God’ album featuring Lindsey Buckingham collab

EMI AUS/Capitol Records

Empire of the Sun has released a deluxe version of their latest album, 2024’s Ask That God.

The expanded set includes two bonus tracks, one of which, “Somebody’s Son,” features former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham.

“I’ve been both a fan and a friend of Empire of the Sun for many years,” Buckingham says. “[Band members] Luke [Steele] and Nick [Littlemore] are masters of the pop craft, as well as being great guys. I’m pleased to be a part of their new song, ‘Somebody’s Son.'”

“It was nothing short of a dream to work alongside the legend Lindsey Buckingham,” Steele adds. “His guitar on ‘Somebody’s Son’ creates such a beautiful backbone for this incredible song. We feel honored to have worked with the master himself.”

Buckingham previously collaborated with Empire of the Sun on their 2016 album, Two Vines.
