Tom Morello is looking back at his 2024 and teasing what’s to come from him in 2025.
In an Instagram post, the Rage Against the Machine guitarist writes, “This year I hit the road for my biggest solo tour ever, performing for 700,000+ fans worldwide.”
“A mighty THANKYOU to all the friends, fans & comrades … who showed up & showed out!” Morello adds, giving a shout-out to his backing band, the Freedom Fighter Orchestra.
Morello’s other 2024 highlights include releasing two new songs with his teenage son, Roman, inducting MC5 into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, jamming live with Bruce Springsteen, and receiving the Woody Guthrie Prize in honor of his musical achievements and activism.
“And most importantly, we celebrated my mom, Mary Morello’s 101st birthday — a reminder of the legacy of love, resistance, and wisdom that’s shaped me,” Morello writes.
As for the coming year, Morello says, “2025 is likely to bring trouble, but it’s also going to bring even more action, and more music.”
“I’m grateful for every one of you who’s supported me along the way,” he concludes. “Here’s to making next year even louder.”
