Coldplay performed a cover of the Proclaimers song “Sunshine on Leith” during a recent set at the BBC Radio 2 Piano Room.
The rendition featured guest vocals by British singer Laura Mvula and was accompanied by a string quartet.
If you don’t know the original “Sunshine on Leith,” it’s the title track off The Proclaimers’ 1988 album, which also spawned their signature hit, “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles).”
Also during the BBC Radio 2 performance, Coldplay played their Moon Music song “ALL MY LOVE,” which frontman Chris Martin just performed during the in memoriam segment of the Grammys.
