Coldplay frontman Chris Martin is performing during the opening ceremony for the 2025 Invictus Games, taking place Feb. 8 at Vancouver’s BC Place stadium.
The Invictus Games are a sports competition for wounded, injured, and sick service members and veterans. They were founded in 2014 by Prince Harry, and Martin composed the theme for the inaugural games, which is still used today.
Martin’s 2025 Invictus performance “promises to celebrate hope, resilience, courage, and the unconquered Invictus Spirit at the very heart of the Games,” a press release says.
The opening ceremony is also set to feature previously announced performances by Noah Kahan, Katy Perry, Nelly Furtado and others.
Before heading to the Invictus Games, Martin is performing at the 2025 Grammys, taking place Sunday in Los Angeles.
