My Chemical Romance will be touring stadiums over the summer while playing their 2006 album The Black Parade in full. But what about possible new music?

Replying to NME about the potential of fresh MCR material, guitarist Frank Iero says, “When that stuff – if that stuff were to happen, we will tell you.”

“We will tell you in the way we want to tell you,” he adds.

When asked whether his band L.S. Dunes, which put out their sophomore album, Violet, in January, will put out a fifth record before My Chem will, Iero responds, “Oh man, I don’t know.”

“I’m not really a betting kind of guy,” Iero says. “I like to spend money, but I’m not a gambler. We only have two so far.”

My Chemical Romance broke up in 2013 following the release of their fourth album, 2010’s Danger Days. They reunited in 2019 and finally launched their pandemic-delayed reunion tour in 2022. Upon the tour’s kickoff, they released a new song called “The Foundations of Decay,” which remains their most recent release.
