The home of Primus guitarist Larry “Ler” LaLonde was destroyed in the ongoing fires devastating Southern California and the Los Angeles area.

Frontman Les Claypool has shared a photo on Instagram of LaLonde’s house now in ruins, adding in the caption, “All that is left of our good friend Ler Lalonde’s home.”

“When Mother Nature gets up on her hind legs, it can be brutal,” Claypool adds. “My heart hurts for him and his family.”

Meanwhile, The Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan was among those who had to evacuate due to the fires. He shared video on his Instagram of smoke rising through the air from a location where he and his family are staying temporarily.

“High praise for how the LAFD put this out; as the fire had spread from what you see here to the right and down the ridge,” Corgan writes. “Please pray for everyone who has been hurt or displaced or lost homes and properties in this unprecedented situation.”
